KTU Faculty of Engineering Economics (now School of Economics and Business) was founded in 1968 July 1 to meet rising demand for specialists in the engineering industry. Now it is one of the largest Schools in Kaunas University of Technology. Over 2000 students and more than 500 Alumni every year.

International Study Program
Incoming exchange students are very welcome to the KTU SEB! School has more than 50 incoming exchange students from all over the Europe per year. School offer’s more than 30 English taught courses from both study cycles – bachelor’s and master’s. Students will be able to create their personal study plan from a variety of courses offered in English. The courses cover the fields of Industrial Technology Management, International Business and Accounting and auditing. Bachelor’s courses are taught during the whole semester; master level courses ate taught in cycles (1 course per 4-5 weeks). Lectures are taught by highly qualified professors, top – qualified visiting professors teach in almost all courses as well. We have a very strong community of international students, organizing themed and cultural events, parties or various gatherings, making sure that everybody has a good time. International Exchange Student Network (ESN) is an organization which is devoted for international students, offering plenty of activities to choose from.
The university offers a place in the dormitory for all of the incoming exchange students. KTU also has great sports facilities, where students can take up various types of sports like climbing, yoga, basketball, cricket, etc. for fiee.
Kaunas, with almost three hundred thousand inhabitants, is one of the most significant cities of Lithuania. It could be described asa city that never accepted its role as the second city in the country. It is a large center of business and Industry. Due to its geographical position, Kaunas Is Lithuania’s most important center of communication. It can also may claim to be a city of young people with over 35,000 students (the largest number in Lithuania) studying at one of the seven universities here. The Old Town of Kaunas is located at the confluence of the Nemunas and Neris Rivers where old architectural monuments and other historical buildings are located. The streets in Old Town have been turned to pedestrian sidewalks, so it is best to tour the place by foot. Prominentfeaturesofthe OldTown include Kaunas Castle, theTown Hall, andthe historical Presidential Palace. Located to the East of the Old Town is the cit/s New Town, which started developing in 1847 and got its name when it became a distinct part of the city.
Today’s Kaunas is a home of a variety of festivals & events, from operettas to modern dance, from classical music to Jazz. Moreover, Kaunas was chosen as the European Capital of Culture in 2022.
