Thermal insulation of the perimeter walls
In 2010, the Faculty of Management at the University of Economics in Jindřichův Hradec (the sixth faculty of the University of Economics in Prague) submitted an application for a subsidy to the Operational Programme – Environment, Call No. 16 – OPE, priority axis 3 – Sustainable Use of Energy Sources (FS) for the project entitled “Thermal insulation of the Perimeter Walls of FM UE Building No. 1117/II in Jindřichův Hradec”.
On 30th June 2010, the Environment Minister approved the decision to grant the subsidy for co-financing the project.
On 23rd August 2013, the Supreme Director of Section 300 of the Ministry of the Environment signed the decision to grant the subsidy.
The implementation of the project commenced on 24th June 2013 with completion scheduled for 1st November 2013. The documents for the final evaluation will be submitted to the State Environmental Fund by 1st February 2015.
Total project costs amount to 9 315 155.00 CZK, of which eligible expenditure amounts to 5 320 397.00 CZK (of which 85% originate from EU funds, 5% from the State Environmental Fund and 10% from the school’s own resources); the ineligible expenditure of the project amounts to 3 994 758.00 CZK.
The purpose of the project is to implement energy saving measures in the building of the University of Economics in Prague – Faculty of Management in Jindřichův Hradec. The proposed measure consists of thermal insulation of the perimeter walls and replacement of the windows and doors in a total area of 2 380.00 m2.
The main benefit of the project will be the forecasted:
- Reduction of electricity consumption by 709 GJ/year
- Reduction of CO2 emissions by 39 t/year
According to the Energy Review, the actual savings were:
- Reduction of electricity consumption by 1,184 GJ/year
- Reduction of CO2 emissions by 65.8 t/year
